It is said that writers become more famous after they are deceased. In which case, as he insists he feels half dead at the present time, Chris Bicheno is well on the way to achieving his optimum level of fame, which being honest he doesn't expect to be very high.
Chris was born in Portsmouth in 1947 and has lived around the area ever since, apart from a couple of years as a lad when he had the effrontery to be English in a Scottish city.
As a young man, his increasingly desperate hormones achieved a meeting with a demure young lady named Madge and they were married in 1973. Madge then emerged from her chrysalis and proved she could fly rings around him. They experienced 6 children who drove the couple to varying levels of ecstasy and despair. They are currently going round the roller coaster again, this time with dogs and grandchildren.
After a reasonably successful career, mainly in Computing, Chris used the excuse of having heart problems to escape into retirement. He then adopted genealogical research and writing as a therapy against the ravages of life and produced this tome for himself, family and posterity.
