Biography:
Dereck Hucklesby was born in Harpenden, Hertfordshire UK, and was educated at St Albans County Grammar School and at Kings College London.
He is the co-author of some forty papers in Plant Biochemistry, working mostly in Bristol, with a long period abroad in the USA, and shorter periods in Australia, South Africa and Germany.
He is a devoted amateur performer of early music. His interest in history, especially in the history of science and of ideas in general, resulted in this book, his first novel.
