Biography:
Enid Michael has worked in journalism in London, Manchester and Plymouth, but writing novels is her first love. She is a tireless researcher, using real locations to bring her stories to life.
Home is in a moorland village in West Yorkshire, but she usually spends spring and autumn in Cornwall, where her roots are.
Writing Beyond Pendowry Water she spent more than two years in Cornwall, sailing and exploring watermills to bring the story to life.
Her first book The Runaway National published by Corgi was later considered for a Disney film in Hollywood.
