Biography:
Janet Street-Porter served a three-year term as President of the Ramblers Association, and in 1999 was its honorary Vice-President.
She has presented and produced numerous television programmes and, until 1996, was head of BBC Youth and Entertainment. She now runs her own company, 'Screaming Productions', who made the television series 'Coast to Coast' screened on BBC 2 in 1998. She is also restaurant critic for 'Vogue', and writes about walking and travel for 'The Sunday Times', the 'Observer' and the 'Mail on Sunday'.
