Nura Jibo was born at Gumel local government, Jigawa State, Northern Nigeria in 1975. He is a writer and Newspaper freelance columnist for ten (10) years before joining MOBAT Quantity Surveying Consultants and Project Managers in Kano, State, as Quantity Surveyor. Nura has done a number of work in journalism as feature columnist for Nigerian Newspapers. Notably amongst them are Daily Trust and Triumph Newspapers. He maintains a webpage with kanoonline forum (www.kanoonline.com) as a regular commentator and contributor on national discourse. Nura attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He studied Quantity Surveying at the then Faculty of Engineering (now Environmental Design). He has more than five(5) academic papers that are published in reputable international journals. Nura's main interest is scientific research and development, and also on issues that have to do with economy, governance and politics. He is a lifetime member, West African Research Association (WARA), Boston, United States. He also picks special interest on climate change issues. Presently, Nura is the Secretary General of African Climate Change Research Centre (ACCREC), an NGO that is meant to practically approach Africa's climate change problems from grassroots. Nura intends to build a fresh career in international diplomacy. His hobbies are writing, playing and watching football.
