Born and educated in England, Joe Jaffe has lived for the last thirty years in the ancient Port of Jaffa. He has been a Professor of Physics, an Industrialist and a Government Official. Early in his varied career he made the exciting discovery that he was in no way indispensable, and he could buzz off for months on end without his absence being as much as noticed. This enabled him to pursue a passion for blue-water sailing.
He has sailed in British waters and the Atlantic, but most of the time was spent in the Mediterranean. There, he visited fascinating places, met remarkable people and had numerous adventures, one or two of which he survived by the skin of his teeth.
Joe has written extensively in his professional field of molecular physics. He also published a relatively successful book of stories describing some of his crazy experiences as a scientist.
Now retired, he devotes himself to writing novels and stories about the human condition and of course, about sailing.
He has two offspring and a great slew of grandchildren.
