Biography:
JOHN MARTIN is a novelist and biographer. As a journalist he has worked for the Express Group of newspapers and as a freelance. He has published a number of non-fiction books and two recent novels. He was educated at the London School of Economics, where he specialised in European economic and political history, and he has an MA in Life Writing from the University of East Anglia. The first edition of Beyond Belief was published in 2006 and since that date has been the best-selling Defoe biography. His book on Jonathan Swift, titled, The Man Himself is to be published in late 2009.
