Julie Majuva was born in 1958 in Kondoa. She attended primary school in Kondoa District and Dodoma region in Tanzania, before going to Kenya at the age of thirteen, to study at Moi Equator Secondary School in Nanyuki, on the slopes of Mount Kenya and later at Nairobi Girls School and a secretarial college (shorthand-Pitman) before working for one year with United Nations Regional Center for Surveying and Mapping, Nairobi.
In 1979, she joined University Paris VII in France, and obtained a diploma in French language, Public and International Relations. She also attended private lessons and obtained basic computer knowledge and English-French translation diplomas while in Europe.
She also worked for eight years with various international organizations in Geneva on short contracts and travelled worldwide, before specializing and working in African hair and skin beauty products in Geneva until 2005.
She started TKISA associations in Kondoa, Tanzania in 2000 (organizes sports events) and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"KATA MTI PANDA MTI\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" (Cut a Tree-Plant a Tree), associations in Kondoa, aimed at assisting needy children, a majority of orphans, victims of deceased AIDS parents and uses sports to sensitize natives of the importance to preserve nature.
She is an ardent lover of mountain climbing and has trekked to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) on three occasions as well as several other mountain peaks in France and Switzerland.
Devoted to languages, she speaks Kirangi, her mother tongue, Kigogo, the third biggest Bantu tribe in Tanzania and Kikuyu, the largest ethnic language in Kenya in addition to English and French languages, and good notion of German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese languages.
She lives between Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and France since 2006.
Julie Majuva has written and dedicated this book to TKISA Members - and profit generated from its sales will be used to educate young members as well as improve TKSA activities.
