I was born in Surrey, south east England in 1965, where I still live, with my partner, Coran. I always knew that I wanted to write but it was not until my mother died at the end of 1999 that I had the chance to realise this dream. My book began as a thesis for a crystal therapy course that I started in March 2000. I chose crystal skulls as my subject, as I was at that time, guardian of several of these fascinating objects. As I started to write, I found that the more research I did on skulls, the more links I found with other areas of interest, until it became clear that this was to be book, linking all these different subjects together. I never did end up practising as a crystal therapist, and looking back, I now believe that the only reason I ever did that course was in order to write this book.
I have a lifelong interest in ancient mysteries and spiritual philosophy and studied the history of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, as well as human origins via Birkbeck College in London. I have also had several articles published, in various magazines and on the internet. I act as editor for my local community newsletter, Boxhill News. I have appeared on both local radio and Korean television am a regular speaker at St Michael's non-denominational church in Ewell, and various discussion groups around the south-east.
In addition to my writing, I also have a great love of travel, and the outdoors, having visited 26 countries around the world. I am most at home though visiting my favourite retreat of Lundy, a small island in the Bristol Channel.
