Biography:
Mark Yelland is the founder and director of raaiim ltd, a revenue assurance and fraud management consultancy. Previously he held the position as Head of Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management in THUS plc. It was here, Mark started to explore the potential value to a business of an enlightened approach to revenue assurance. Before working for THUS, he was Director of Revenue Assurance, Global Security Team with Cable and Wireless, undertaking short term assignments in a number of its non-UK based operations. It was on assignment in one of the smaller operations that the underlying problems of a small telco trying to implement revenue assurance in a cost efficient manner manifested itself.
Mark was one of the founding members of the UK Revenue Assurance Group. Set up in 1994, it provides a forum for RA Management from operators to meet and discuss issues in confidence. He has also been part of the Regulators Expert Working Group developing the scheme for ensuring customers receive accurate bills.
He frequently speaks at international conferences on Revenue Assurance, presenting stimulating and challenging topics to the audience.
He is a Chartered Engineer, having graduated from Cambridge University with an honours degree in Electrical Sciences. He also holds an Open University Masters Degree in Business Administration.
