Spawned by the great mudmother of Tharsis Tholus, the greatest mutant male seedling of the batch was cast across the cosmos and did fall upon the planet Earth. Adopted and raised by radioactive river squirrels, the mutant grew and named himself after his home planet of Mars. At an early age, with the aid of Blue Peter, he learnt that the spaceships on Blake’s 7 were in reality empty washing-up liquid bottles painted battleship grey, and therefore set about a mighty quest to create his own illusions.
Martin first put pen to paper for publications such as The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy Appreciation Society newsletter Mostly Harmless and Doctor Who short fiction magazine Cosmic Masque.
Without any regard for the fragility of the space-time continuum, he went on to dabble in the ancient art of poetry, and his work has since appeared in 6 anthologies published by poetry press United Press Limited.
Still deeply unfulfilled, he went to big school and earned himself a BA in Creative Writing and Theatre Studies, and has a fairly-average certificate to prove it.
He is currently working on a sequel to The Jupiter Game, which will be a full-length Dark Kin novel.
