Pauline spent most of her working life in the computer industry. She escaped about ten years ago, fleeing from the Millenium bug, to concentrate on writing.
She writes mainly for magazines, and is a regular columnist and feature writer for Caravan Magazine. She loves caravanning for its freedom, but says "Don't blame me next time you're ranting and raving behind a caravan on the road - I'm not at the helm of them all!"
As a writer, you always need to be looking for a gap in the market, and several years ago Pauline noticed that there was no published biography on Frank Ifield. Deciding it was time to remedy this, she wrote to Frank suggesting she wrote one - to which he replied that it just so happened he had started writing a book himself, his autobiography, and could do with some help. It took ten years to complete, (not helped by the fact that 12,000 miles separated the two authors) and when they got to the end, they discovered Frank's life had been so eventful, they had two books, not one.
Finally, volume one 'I Remember Me' has been published, with 'I Remember Me, Too' in preparation, ready to follow on soon.
Pauline has also published another book, 'Storm Warning - The Origins of the Weather Forecast', and is currently working on a third, a further narrative history set at the end of the eighteenth century.
