Biography:
The forty-something author left school, with little in the way of any formal qualifications, to work as an apprentice in the steel works. Later, he would attend university and eventually he became a lecturer.
Over the years he has done many jobs, ranging from driving vans, labourer in a textile mill, social worker and a packer of light tubes on an assembly line.
He lives by the coast in the North East of England and regularly walks on the local beach or the cliff top path to gather inspiration for writing projects, or more usually, to pass time until the pubs open.
