Roger has always written something. At first poetry (who didn't?), then his first novel, then short stories, and then his second novel. He is currently writing a third novel, in between more short stories.
Although he has never been traditionally published, two of his short stories (Click on Against The Glass below) made the final selection process in the Ian St James awards, and Empty Beaches was seriously considered by more than one publisher, and was returned by them with apologies and a few words of encouragement.
One day he will be traditionally published, he is as sure of this as he is of night following day. It is just a matter of perseverance and self-improvement. In the meantime, why not the net for Empty Beaches?
(Empty Beaches is a classic example of why we exist. Once you have read it you too will be asking the questions as to why it hasn't had a paper run. Oh well, their loss our gain! - Ed)
