Biography:
Wendy Freebourne MSc was born in East London in 1947 and has two adult sons. She originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then ran a hospital for alternative medicine. This led her to retrain as a Psychotherapist. She has been working with individuals, couples and groups for twenty-five years. She is also a practising astrologer. In 1998 she was awarded an MSc in Psychology for research into relationships at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside. There, and at Leeds University, she also studied Systemic Practice. ‘I am fascinated by the dynamics of relationships,’ she says, ‘the patterns that emerge and repeat themselves.’
Wendy has also studied and practised Tibetan Buddhism and several other spiritual disciplines and has travelled in Europe, North Africa and India.
She has produced a series of CDs, The Dependency Talks, dealing with recovery from codependency, dysfunctional families and the underlying cause of dependencies and addictions; and a psycho-spiritual astrological report, Pathfinder Workbook. She has also had magazine articles, short stories and poetry published. Currently, she has a novel about relationships in progress and is taking herself seriously as a textile artist.
