Biography:
William Dundon BA(mod) PhD obtained his primary and doctorate degrees from the Microbiology Department of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He has over 16 years experience as a research scientist working in both the public and private sector, in laboratories that have included the Pasteur Institute (Lille, France), Columbia University, (New York, USA) and the University of Padova, Italy. During this time he has studied many of the bacteria discussed in his book as well as publishing his work in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr Dundon is presently a senior scientist at the OIEFAO and National Reference Laboratory for Avian influenza and Newcastle disease in Padova, Italy.
