Synopsis

‘If we can’t laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at?’ is the theme of this book. So we laugh at America and the Americans. Here is a tossed salad of unique American humor, slang and expressions, about 6000 strong. Nobody, including God Himself, is immune to our humor. Us mortals are mere fodder. This salad is sprinkled with megabucks and our indifference to it. But the salad dressing of American ignorance, stupidity and vanity is very bitter. To cite an example - only in America, nowhere else in this world, do politicians blow taxpayer dollars into very much needed research such as ‘why pigs smell?’. Go ahead. Laugh and cry at the same time.
