So, why write a book about Toronto when you are English and live in London? The answer is simple. I spend a lot of time in Toronto and know the city well. How have I come to know the city so well? I'll tell you.
During my many visits to Toronto, visiting newly discovered family, I have spent some considerable time exploring the city.
I count myself lucky. There have been times in my life when I have been forced to use a wheelchair. Now, after three long spells in hospital undergoing extensive surgery I am, for most of the time, able to get around on my own two feet. My experiences have alerted me to the problems faced by disabled people in general and wheelchair users in particular.
This book also explores the developing relationship between me and my new family.
Information is based on my own observations and research and is accurate as far as possible. for up to date information it's best to contact the individual organisations.
