Synopsis

Lee Connor, ex-soldier, professional gambler and drifter, is forced to flee from London to Las Vegas following the brutal killing of high class call girl, Angie, who has left explicit details of his secret life as a transvestite. - Was the butchery of mob-connected Angie and her maid the work of a madman, or did Lee himself commit the crime?

The murders have a disastrous domino effect, as London gangland boss, Jack McDarren, reaches out to his friends in Vegas and puts a contract on Lee's life. This creates a dangerous dilemma for McDarren's faithful lieutenant, Mike Quarry, who is Lee's close friend and is faced with his toughest test of loyalty.

In Vegas, Lee is befriended by likeable hustler, Beau Jaynes, who secures him the poker game of his life against mobster, Phil Herron, who manages the Queen Of The West casino. But as the events in London begin to catch up with Lee, he learns that there are men among the bright lights who are out to kill him. - Is Beau really the friend he seems? Is Herron setting up Lee to be hit? Has Lee finally found the woman he can love and trust in the glamorous Michelle Walters?

With the pace quickening and the stakes piling up, Lee begins to receive help from the mysterious Mr Lomax, and learns that he is being targeted by a contract killer called Duran. In the city that never sleeps, Lee needs all his skill and judgement and fighting qualities to negotiate the giddying twists and turns as he fights for his survival.
