Synopsis

When lawyer James Carpenter fishes a local builder’s daughter out of the river, he has no idea that he will soon find himself involved in murder, kidnapping and a government cover up. He already has enough on his plate since inheriting his father’s failing law practice and finding out that the bank wants to close them down – never mind the arguments with his new partners and a reunion with a former girl friend.

He might have been happier if he had known that someone else - in the shape of tall dark Moira Smith - was just as keen as he was to find out the truth. Especially since the last time he saw her, her name was Mindy and she had a schoolgirl crush on him.

Moira can’t tell James what she knows, because if she messes up this job, it ’s the end of her career. And she’s planning to use him as bait…
