Synopsis

Who could have anticipated the sudden death of a church warden from the designer village of Deverton? DI Mark Parlour can scarcely believe his eyes when he finds ex-serviceman, Terence Haynes, slumped across a plate of éclairs on picking his wife up from a church meeting. It soon becomes clear that this was murder - and one which could only have been carried out by a member of the Church Council in attendance that day!
