In All Thy Ways

Synopsis

By acknowledging the Lord in all her ways, as Proverbs 3:6 exhorted her to do, May Eddington found He directed her paths from the ancestral home and an aristocratic lifestyle in Yorkshire to the slums of Liverpool, where she started a children's mission work, which was brought to an abrupt end by the May blitz of 1941 with disastrous consequences, yet dramatically demonstrating to May that the Lord was still directing her paths and there was still a work for her to do for Him as long as she continued to acknowledge Him in all her ways. Set in the years just prior to the Second World War, and the early years of the war itself, the story traces the loves and hates, the joys and fears, the triumphs and tragedies, affecting several Liverpool families, as well as May herself, through which the love of God is shown to be at work in every situation.  Although a work of fiction, the story is based on fact - the Bible - and seeks to use this literary form to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who Himself said, "I am the Way" (John 14:6).
