Three stories of brother killing brother from Mexico to the Middle East
Original version
He was the prince of darkness in ancient Mexico in South America.
He was the son of king Can and slayer of his brother Coh.
Christian Old Testament and Jewish Torah version
Cain and Abel were the sons of Adam and Eve, the first couple on earth according to the Christians and Jews. Hebrew Torah (foundation for the Christian The Old Testament) mentions a third son named Seth. Older Cain was a farmer. Abel was a shepherd. One day both brothers made gifts to God. Cain offered a fruit while Abel offered a firstling of his flock. God accepted Abel’s gift and rejected Cain’s gift thus creating jealousy. In rage Cain killed Abel.
God knew that Abel was dead because Abel’s blood screamed to Him. Yet He played with Cain and asked Cain “where is your brother?”
“Am I my brother’s keeper?” was the sarcastic reply.
God condemned the murderer to wander for the rest of his life. When the murderer explained his concerns that he could be killed, what did God do? Here is the exact description.
The Lord said to him, “I promise, if anyone kills Cain, sevenfold vengeance shall be taken on him.”
Simply put God rewarded Cain for killing his brother Abel.
