It is not the quietness of observance or of bitterness
But one that makes for inner quietude
Where the mind is enriched and clear
And the head is free
Free to think straight.

As the soul becomes awash with stillness/still waters
Thinking straight, the turbulence is driven
Straight and rational
Devoid of entanglements
Those of sentiment, cowardice and emotionalism
Which pays dividend to none.

In the place of solemnity
We live above self and others
Detached from the strings of limiting constraints
We fly like a bird towards the truth
Magnetised by fairness to all.

In the face of solemnity
We wrestle with the facts
Juggle with the lies
And contend with our beliefs.
In sifting the shaft from the real
We are better informed and equipped
Ceasing to lie in the wasteland of turbulence and rancour
Where there is no illumination.

 

 

The Voice of Gushing Water

Artificial or natural
As we see
As we see and hear it
Hear it, well and swell
We are enthused and at peace.

The sight and the sound
Builds in us an inner tranquility
As peace wells up in our soul.
It brings us in unity with the maker of water
The lover of our soul.

The surge, the surge
Turbulence, turbulence, turbulence
Peace, peace, quiet peace
After the rush and the gush
Quietude supervenes
Leaving us only with
The ebbing sweet ripples.

We are drawn to it
Because it is at peace with the creator
Desiring such peace ours to be
We float in the water of tranquil imagination.
How beautiful, how sweet, how calming
Calming us like the gentle ripples after the turbulence
The flaccidity of gushing water is serene
As serene as the serene voice that enthrals.

 

 

Colour Dissociation

The white can be black
The black can be white
Inner versus outer colour dissociation
Where the coloured outer is plain
Plain on the inside
And the plain outer is coloured
Coloured within.

In colour dissociation
Colour interpretation fails
And man becomes unified as man
Simply man, the blending of good and evil
Simply man, colourless on the inside.
