Synopsis

Thomas is a young fatherless boy, very sensitive to the feelings of his mother. Rather than cause her further distress, he often finds it better to lie than tell the truth, when he's done something he shouldn't have. But he never seems to get away with it and the consequences become worse because of his lying.

He suffers some trauma at loosing his dog, then the one person he always felt he could confide in.

He has a sister, Jessica, who delights in getting him into further trouble with their mother. At times he makes friends with some not very nice lads, which in turn eventually leads to bullying at school.

It is only after some very hard lessons, including being interviewed by the police, does Thomas come to realize that honesty is really the best policy.
