In 1754, the slave ship ‘Athena’ beached in the Dee estuary in Wales. The ship had been loaded with slaves in Benin, West Africa and included survivors of a massacre. These survivors established themselves in a monastery in Wales where, in present times, their descendants came to the attention of the police looking into a missing person's case. The police enquiries brought them to the notice of others which resulted in these descendants’ history catching up with them and to face their own Armageddon.
