Synopsis

Stunning beauty, Melody March, is a medical secretary and colleague to eminent Doctor, David Pattison. A rather naive girl, she is persuaded by her flatmate, Mel Munro, the incorrigible ace reporter with deep rooted sexual prowess, to stand in for her at a charity gala. Melody finds herself beautifully seduced by a tall stranger. In the midst of lust, she is asked what Mel is short for and thoughtlessly gasps out Melody. The consequences are more than far reaching for herself and David.

David Pattison heads his own IVF clinic. His work seems to prevent romance and leaves him open for many one night stands. He becomes increasingly fond of Melody, but is loathe to make advances for fear of losing her sincere friendship.

Sir Marcus Granger, lady killer and board member, befriends the shifty Chinese Ambassador. Together they plot illegal and seriously unethical treatments to be carried out by David. In spite of the threats to keep quiet, David forces himself to confide in Melody. They both realise they are close and as passion rages for the first time, they are on the brink of bed, when an emergency calls David away.

Marcus sees his chance to play the would be lovers against each other. His plan seems to work, forcing them apart as a gutted Melody finds herself centre stage in a series of sexual encounters.

Although plans begin to backfire, Marcus is determined to win the clinic and force David' s hand. David can' t believe how Melody has turned out, little realising she is under the same pressure to save his clinic.

Disguising her broken heart, she throws herself into her new life style - an erotic dancer and sex object. When David finally confronts her, she is tight lipped and obstinate. Mel Munro steps in and sets David up into one of her delicious sexual fantasies. She can't bear to witness the sadness in Melody and devises a plan to bring the two would be lovers back into each others' arms.
