THE CURIOUS LITTLE HEDGEHOG
A curious little hedgehog was looking for a meal,
When it fell into a dustbin with a little squeal.
As it lay upon the rubbish it found some lovely food
Which it gobbled up most greedily saying "This is good!"
Along came the dustman and put it in his cart
So, next time you're feeling hungry, think before you start!
THE DORMOUSE AND THE MOTH
Whilst a very old dormouse was asleep on a mat
A naughty young moth began eating its hat.
It awoke to the sight in a terrible rage.
"It is really too much that a mouse of my age
Should have its hat eaten by a mere callow youth
It's time Master Moth that YOU learned the truth!"
These words, however, did not move the moth
Who happily went on munching the cloth.
So ever thereafter the mouse made a law
At bedtime to put all its clothes in a drawer.
