Synopsis

Sid is instantly smitten by Martha's quiet and gentle manner, the first time he sets eyes on her. He believes their marriage will be one made in heaven. But he's soon in for a disillusionment and his life starts to go bitterly wrong. He gets a great many nasty shocks which make a long lasting impact on, not only his whole life, but Martha's as well. Carrying this great weight inside himself he's finally given, be it a painful way, the opportunity to opt out of a life he no longer wants.
