ON THE SIDELINES - SPRING 2005
Apr 15th 2005
Hello again, dear readers. We trust you have all weathered the storms of winter, and have been busily scribbling away finishing your latest blockbuster, biography, or latest guide to life’s little problems. Your next step is to head towards Authors On Line, with no deviation or hesitation, and join the ranks of three hundred and fifty other book titles and illustrious authors who have already done so.
The titles have been varied to say the least – my latest favourite is Rose Petal Tea though there have been others, including - Jumping in Cowpats, Bricks and Torture, The Encyclopaedia for Locksmiths, The Skinflints Guide to Life and probably our longest yet - M.E. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fybromyalgia -the Reverse Therapy Approach.
Six years on from the inception of this company we can undoubtedly say that we are part of publishing history. For the writing fraternity, Print On Demand is a very affordable way to proceed. We are finding that authors take very well to the idea that they can order their books in medium numbers, and their friends can easily order a copy to be sent to their own address. How easy is that!
Our prices are very competitive, our product is good - how else would we still be here in this growing forum? The traditional route to getting into print is rapidly changing and helping people to Self Publish is undeniably a step in the right direction for all concerned.
Our indomitable editor is in very good form. In fact he is turning into the incredibly shrinking man, even as we speak. (about time, some would say, ssshhhh….)Up before the click of the first mouse, he disappears into the early morning mists to plug in his own programme of exercises into various forms of heavy lifting gear. This seems to be having the desired effect and waistline buttons are beginning to ease. How long the washboard stomach will take to appear is anybodies guess, but he is giving it his all.
Watch this space and keep pounding that keyboard. You never know what will emerge from the chrysalis - now there is a word to conjure with.
