Barry George, the man imprisoned for 8 years for the murder of BBC presenter Jill Dando in 1999, was today freed after a month long retrial. Authors OnLine have long campaigned for this miscarriage of justice to be rectified. Ever since our editor's then wife interviewed him in prison back in 2000 claiming he wasn't capable of committing the murder, we have suspected George's innocence.
