Corrections to published books -
£75 or FREE with our Standard and Enhanced services (See below)
Once we have published your book the chances are that however careful you have been with proof-reading you may well spot errors. It's an annoying fact of life that you will only spot the missing full stop on page 3 once you have received the printed, finished book. One of the advantages of Print On Demand publishing is that you don't now have a long print run with those annoying errors in every copy. It is very easy to correct the error and replace the file so that future copies are now error free. Just supply us with the corrections or corrected file and we will do the rest.
You can also for example, apply this principal at any time to updates of non-fiction books where information may have become out of date. It is very quick and easy.
If you have purchased our MULTI-CHANNEL ebook service there is a fee of £75 for implementing corrections. This is in addition to any fee applicable to corrections to the hardcopy (paperback or hardback) version. So please make sure that you are happy with the hardcopy version before we start work on the ebook. The reason for the separate fees is we outsource our ebook production and they will bill us accordingly.
If you have purchased our BASIC with DISTRIBUTION SERVICE there is however a cost implication, which is £75 per file (cover or text),. You will need provide us with the PDF file as you did in the first place and we will reload it for you.
If you purchase our STANDARD SERVICE we have built into the price the cost of one round of updates, if submitted within 6 months of publication. So you can gather your initial minor corrections together and we will correct the file and upload it for you for free. Once you have done this any future corrections will cost £75 per time, regardless of the number of corrections*
If you purchase our ENHANCED SERVICE up to 2 updates per year are free for the lifetime of the book*.
* Enhanced and Standard Service authors please note that the above offers apply provided the corrections don't take us longer that one hour to input - we are not redrafting books for free (or £75), that would be the bargain of the century!
NB Although the initial publishing is free, our printers charge us per file to upload revisions. Its a safety measure, otherwise they would be inundated with free correction files daily.
