Testimonials
What our authors say about us.

The fact is, however, that you are helpful beyond that which I could reasonably expect, you are available, you are justifiably proud of AonL and the effort that you put in reflects this. My optimism in the publishing world is restored.
Digby Westwood – The Tanngnost

I am very grateful for the day that I met Richard Fitt, my publisher at "authorsonline.co.uk.  We have had a great fun working relationship.  Getting published, promoted is a very slow process.  It takes a lot of patience as well as perseverance to get it going.  By doing so my book "Totally Discombobulated" has found it's way into the book stores, as well as the "booksamillion, millionaires book club. Richard, you're the greatest.
Evelyn Stewart – Totally Discombobulated

I have been very touched by the personal attention AuthorsOnline have given to publishing my book. No attempt was made to make any shortcuts, and we continued to work together to iron out any difficulties with the layout until everything about the book was satisfactory to us both. I have been very happy with the outcome and have no regrets in using AuthorsOnline to publish my book
John Bechard –  A Muslim who became a Christian.

I am glad to have the opportunity to voice my opinion regarding your wonderful service in producing my two novels.  The production process was very satisfactory.  AuthorsOnLine are doing a very important and trustworthy service, are a friendly and efficient publisher and they deserve 'douze points'.
Sonia Y Laser – Deadly Conference and Death Sentence

For AuthorsOnLine read AuthorsLifeLine. You're business like, but sympathetic, guidance through your procedures is very much appreciated.
Sylvia Fisher Full Circle and In The Fullness of Time

I came to know of AuthorsOnline after the death of my agent and the growing interest in e-book publishing. Within this co-operative venture from e-book to published novel I found an enthusiastic team who sought the best standards for quality of their authors as they wished for themselves as serious 'new publishers.'
Tom Coleridge – Martin Hubbel We Love You

I found it remarkable that I was able as an author to build up a relationship of such friendly trust with a company I never actually talked to face to face or even on the telephone. I would add that I felt only a great pride when I first handled a copy of my own book which far exceeded my expectations. The fact that POD ensures that only as many copies as the author can dispose of will ever be printed is also a great source of financial comfort. I imagine that with much so-called "vanity publishing" the spare room becomes packed to the door with unwanted copies of books no one really wants to read.
Peter Harrison  - Creakwing’s Crossing

An excellent service to get my books in print with a very professional finished product.
Susan Shaw – Eleanor – Dreams and Reality - and 9 other books in e-format

As someone with no knowledge of computers I am very grateful for the help and support Authors on Line gave in the printing of my autobiography.
Sandra Hobson – From Virtue to Reality

Authors Online were entirely responsible for the publication of my book North Sea Divers-a Requiem, and delivered 100% more than they promised. Nothing has been, nor is, too much trouble for them, and they will listen, help and advise, well  over and above the 'call of duty'. I would not hesitate to put any future work in their very capable hands.
Jim Limbrick North Sea Divers – a Requiem

I am proud to be an author with Authors On Line.  I have been treated with courtesy, efficiency and promptness and would willingly recommend them to anyone stepping into this field.
Wendy Anne Lake – You've Been Wonderful... - Am I crying For Me - Cinder Path - Labyrinth of Desire - Sensual Rhythm - Inspired Urges

Top service! Every e-mail or phone query that I had (and, as a newcomer and being very ignorant of this business, there were many!) was responded to with the utmost patience and even a degree of wit! A professional, easy-going but by no means boring print-on-demand company and I highly recommend them!
Vanessa Wild – Melasma – Is this the clear solution?

AuthorsOnLine has enabled me to publish my book simply and without the fuss and frustration usually associated with other types of publisher.  Their service is ideal, especially as the manuscript was already typed on computer.  The quality of the publication was high, with opportunities to include as many photographs as I wished
Dr Christine Parkinson – I will Lift Up My Eyes

I am grateful to AuthorsOnLine for giving me a chance to publish my work. It is very difficult for new writers to compete with established authors. The editor has patiently dealt with my numerous revisions and given encouragement. I believe he is genuinely concerned about the quality of the books he publishes. Recent criticism from some members of the press is undeserved. I had hoped to send a review copy to The Daily Mail, but their recent attack on Internet publishing deterred me. The difficulties encountered by J.K. Rowling indicate that it is possible for a potential bestseller to be rejected repeatedly. A good book is not necessarily a popular one, but it does not deserve to be dismissed out of hand.
Clive Johnson - The Chime

For authors like myself, who have filing cabinets full of rejection slips from publishers who seem to only want writers who are celebrities - regardless of their abilities - this is the haven in which to seek comfort. The other alternative for frustrated authors of course is the ’Vanity’ market. However, my experience of this road is that I would have had to have robbed a bank to get my book in print and, with no guarantee of the quality. AuthorsOnLine is the obvious answer to this dilemma. One of the pioneers of POD in this country, it offers authors the opportunity to see their work online or in paperback, produced quickly and economically by an editor who demands high standards and is always most understanding and helpful.
Alan Taylor - One Day As A Tiger

I would like to extend to you a great vote of thanks for all the hard work you put into publishing my book. I have been hearing horror stories of folk who have been badly let down by publishers. You have done a very professional job and responded efficiently on all occasions, many thanks. I have already recommended you to my friends.
David Townsend - Growing Up On The Farm

It was a great delight to meet AuthorsOnLine, who were not only swift, smart and efficient, but a pleasure to talk to. I couldn't believe I was in print so quickly, that the cover was exactly what I wanted, the paper of excellent quality and the finished product could stand alongside travel stories of far greater fame than mine. I felt I got value for money. Richard (The editor) is always available to fire questions at and comes back with answers - usually the same day. Queries which can't be answered straight away are researched and within a day or two are back on my desk. You always get the feeling he has done it with a good heart. AuthorsOnLine are not trying to be Judge and Jury in publishing, they allow you to make choices and you don't end up feeling that you're tied up with something you can't control.. So thanks to all at AuthorsOnLine, and from the inside of a book jacket, to all those on the outside -try it - the money's well spent and it will change your life for ever.
Annette Willoughby - Innocent in Africa.

Good-natured, good-humoured, and very generous with their time.
Bob Hewett - The Book of Blasphemy

Everything I hoped for and more. Well done! Beautifully printed and laid out. The cover looks fabulous. The printers have got it exactly right - a richness and depth of colour no one has achieved with my other books. It looks better than it does on the computer screen - a real quality production. Nice paper, good margins. Much better produced than the Penguin editions of P.G. Woodhouse. Those are printed on lavatory paper with horrible wartime economy margins and the text ranged left. How they have the effrontery to charge £7 a book when they're running off hundreds of thousands of copies I don't know. And have you seen how poorly produced many of Ernest Hemingway's books are? I really think you're onto something with Internet publishing and modern computers.
Roger George Clark - The Magic Statue

The book and the contents were fine there was only one error that isn't worth talking about. Would you mind thanking everybody that helped to make a dream of mine come true, and even more so to see it on the book shelves of Amazon. com. So I will leave it in your capable hands with whatever happens next. Until next time!
Lizzie Highland. - Mind Battles

I salute Authors Online and how incredibly helpful at getting the right information to me quickly -  yes you've done all of that! I've been really impressed with the speed of service and depth of knowledge not only in yourself (Wendy) and Richard, but also in Paul Rix, who kindly agreed to talk to me - there's certainly a valuable mine of knowledge in Authors Online authors (if you see what I mean!) and the more we can share this the better.

The quality of my book production is also very impressive and is something
I will be proud to tout around my local bookshops and points of sale - in
this, Sandra was also wonderful and very talented!

Rich and famous??!!! Oo-err, no, missus!!! Fulfilled is more what I'm after - and I certainly couldn't have got on the first rung without the good work and fantastic encouragement of a certain famous Wendy of Authors Online - that would be you!!!!
Anne Brooke - The Hit List

Tthe book is super - I can't thank you all enough. I'm so glad I came to AuthorsOnLine. Bless you all.
Joy Peach - Nine Men's Morris

Without AuthorsonLine producing Operation Oboe I would never have received the letter below. Of course the fish is not on the boat after the line has had its first tug but it seems the fish is on the hook but it will take some time to land. Anyway as I'm on my own today, I thought I'd share what seems to be very good news with you, as such a good friend. Wonderful Wendy Thanks for your note

If you stood for Parliament
You'd get my vote
Now you are asking
Am I a poet?
No I'm providing
Just what I wrote
Miller Caldwell - Operation Oboe

I was already impressed with Siobhan (Smith's) cover from screen images. It is so much richer and more striking in full size hard copy. My first impression on opening the book was that the paper felt 'a bit thin'. How wrong. When I began reading, I found that the pages fall and lie beautifully. Margins and page setup are perfect, making the book a pleasure to handle and to read.

I need hardly say how much I have appreciated your help and encouragement; nevertheless I feel that my gratitude must be placed on record. Thanks to you, I have just enjoyed a very exciting eight weeks and now proudly hold in my hand a book, which would not exist but for you. Thank you so very much. Just think, when I'm rich and famous you will be able to tell your friends and family that you knew me when I was still almost normal.
Mel Foster - The Gemini Hypothesis
