Authors OnLine has ended its association with PHOCIS software and installed a new simpler, one click, downloading and purchasing system.
Not our choice unfortunately, but PHOCIS Ltd, the Leeds based company that developed the encrypton software behind our books, has gone into liquidation, without bothering to inform us at any time. If fact we have never heard from anybody at the company, but we have spoken to the offical receiver who has confirmed their liquidated status.
We have therefore decided to cut all ties with this experiment and revert back to selling unencrypted files. Now you can simply purchase and download a compressed WinZip file of either a MS Reader or Acrobat Reader version of your chosen book and be reading it in seconds.
Customers who have purchased PHOCIS SFX files will be given our full support, but it is no longer possible to purchase any SFX files you may have stored on your computer. Fully working versions of existing paid for books will continue to work for the lifetime of the computer or its currently installed operating system. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but be assured it was an inconvenience to our bank balance to put right! Thank you PHOCIS!!
